When I first learned about the concept of affiliate programs, it caught my attention when I realized that:
- There's no limit to how much income you can make
- It's completely Free
- It's very simple to get started (simply send out an email or place a banner on your website)
So, what's the difference between one tier and two tier affiliate programs?
One of the most common one tier programs is Clickbank. One tier programs involve promoting & selling products & services that companies have already developed. In exchange for this, you receive a percentage of the sales price. However, the income stops there.
In a two tier program, the first tier works the same way as other programs like Clickbank. The only difference is the additional tier where you can also earn a commission on sales generated by people that you refer the program to (these people are called sub-affiliates).
In plain English, let's say that you signed up as an affiliate to promote a site selling weight loss products. If you promote the weight loss products yourself, you will be a first tier affiliate. On the other hand, if you refer other people (sub-affiliates) to the program, then you will receive an additional commission from the products they sell. So, this gives you the opportunity to earn alot more money.
Think about it - You have the opportunity to generate income in 2 ways:
1. Promoting & selling products yourself
2. Referring the program to sub-affiliates & receiving a commission when they sell the products. So, you do the work 1 time (by referring the program) and then just sit back and let the sub-affiliates do the rest of the work.
There's no limit to the amount of income you can make. You will create a nice passive monthly income.
When choosing a two tier affiliate program, make sure the program offers high quality and high commission products. Use a keyword tool to research the keywords to make sure the products are in demand. You don't want to spend your time promoting a program/product that people don't want. You also want to find a program that provides you with promotional materials.
Once you've selected a great two tier affiliate program, all you have to do is start promoting the products and start referring the program to others. You can do this by simply placing a banner on your website or sending out an email. It's that simple. If you find a program with promotional materials, the banners & emails will already be provided for you. It's doesn't get much easier than that.
