Should I look for relationships online? To be honest, I had a pretty big attitude about online dating sites. I have friends and family who have been hurt in relationships that started online so I was against the whole idea of it.

Then I turned 37 and realized that in the last three years I hadn't met even one decent guy in my town who I would like to date. I thought I should consider moving to a bigger city or risk being alone forever, but I like where I live. I like my home, my friends, my work.

So I turned my attentions to the internet. I figure this is all about expanding my range of possibilities without having to change locations. I've been participating on two of the big online relationships websites now for the last ten months. I've met some nice guys and I've met some real neanderthals. I haven't felt any intense emotions about any of them yet but I am having a good time. The key for me is to take it slow and protect myself every step of the way.

Now, should you look for relationships online?

There are people online who I am convinced should not be in the online dating market. Mainly, they're desperate. Desperate people, both men and women, see what they want to see in other people and they end up making mistakes. I can't believe the number of people I've just met who are emailing me to tell me about their engagement after just a few weeks or a couple of months. I'd like to be happy for them but I just can't help but worry that they've gotten too serious too quickly.

You might be thinking to yourself, 'Hill, aren't you desperate? Isn't that why you're looking for a husband on the internet?' At almost 38 I am definitely starting to feel some anxiety about the whole single thing - but I'm not desperate. I want to meet and marry the perfect guy for me and if that isn't going to happen, I will be just fine on my own.

That is why I think my online search for a man is a healthy one. Because I don't need him to make me happy. I am happy. I would just like to be happy with someone else who is happy to. Then we can live happy together.

Great New Ways To Say "I Love You"

Anyone who has been in a relationship for a significant period of time can tell you that eventually you and your partner will settle into a comfortable routine together and will share so many things that often communication simply isn't needed at times. Has your partner ever given you "The Look?" Married men, you know what I'm talking about there - the "Look" sends even grown men into panicked confusion. You know when you receive The Look that you are in trouble for something. Women, has the man in your life ever paid more attention to you than usual? Has he suddenly become a lot more loving and caring? And you generally know that this means he's either done something wrong, or is "in the mood". We get to know our partners so well that often we assume that things go without needing to be said, which unfortunately includes those 3 magic words, "I Love You".

Especially when you have been in a relationship for a very long time, you naturally assume that the other person knows that you love them and wouldn't be with them if you weren't in love with them. And after years of being together, you may still say "I love you", however it is said with the same tone and with about the same intent as if you were saying "Good morning" to them.

Love is one of the most potent, and most life-changing emotions that we as humans feel. Therefore, to communicate your love for someone else is often a difficult task as no one can really describe what love feels like. However, it is important for you to make an effort to communicate your love to your partner in unique and interesting new ways so that they are aware of how sincere and deep your love is.

One of the ways you can show your deep love for another person is a love letter. Especially in this age of technology where emails send our thoughts and feelings instantaneously with the click of a button, instant messengers allow us to speak to each other from thousands of miles away, and people carry phones everywhere, the simple act of taking the time and effort to actually write out a love letter to your partner can be one of the most sincere and touching things you can do. You don't have to be flowery and romantic, and you don't have to worry about what sounds right or wrong. The very fact that you took the time to write it down on paper (which is so much more permanent than emails or text messages!) shows that you truly care about that person. While you can be elaborate with scented and printed stationary, or very basic and jotting it down on a notepad, the thoughts behind it will still get through.

Another wonderful way of saying I love you is to constantly let the other person know you are thinking about them. Again, when you get into a long-term relationship, you are probably easily distracted by other things and you know your partner will always be there for you and that creates a sense of security where you don't feel the need to constantly remind them of your thoughts. However, people in general love attention and shows of affection. So whether it's leaving little notes around the house, giving short shoulder rubs, hugging, or just letting them know you appreciate them, there are a thousand little ways you can constantly remind your significant other of your love for them and your recognition of their being in the relationship with you.

Also, you can always "freshen up" an old relationship by throwing new spice into it. Do something together that you haven't done since you were teenagers or just beginning to date. For example, when is the last time you just did some serious necking with your partner? Without worrying about getting past 3rd base, that is? And you can also have dates, go see events that interest you both, or even just open up communication about things you have never told the other person about before.

Finally, be sure to share some activities with your partner. Find something you both would like to do, but have never done together, such as horseback riding, playing video games, making a website together or something else that can bring you together in a close way and allow you to share in the happiness of the moment. Relationships may get old and even boring after some time, so be sure to keep things fresh and exciting and remind your partner just how much you appreciate them being in your life!

The Greatest Language of Love

Love, is where two hearts meet and knit together through happiness and sadness. Love can make many hearts skip with excitement yet love can also cause many broken hearts. It takes little effort for one to become a romantic partner. The many creative and interesting ways to add romance in relationship can be readily found in books, magazines, and the internet.

It takes great effort for those in pursuit of a deeper love relationship that could survive many unprepared and unexpected storms. Many will readily say “yes” when asked whether they are romantic lovers. However, few will admit that they are consummate lovers that does not seek the returns of love but are willing to devote their lives in giving true happiness to the person they love.

Whether you are in love, falling out of love or have never been in love, it is never too early or too late to learn the greatest language of love. Learning to love is a growing process. It always starts off with the special feelings that could not get your mind off from thinking about the special person. If such feelings are experienced by the two persons who are about to fall in love, it leads to an eclectic stage where both eyes and hearts are strongly magnetized towards each other. Great deal of time is now spent together as the sparks of love turn into burning flames; where romance is at its peak.

However, this journey of love which initially took off to Caribbean beach; surrounded by sunset and paradise, soon landed on the pathway of reality. The flames of love have gradually smothered as the demands and expectations of life set in.

For some, the flames have smothered into shimmering sparks similar to that found in the fire flies. These sparks are soon carried by the fire flies to ignite another flame with someone else. This is when love causes heartaches and trust, betrayed. Yet for many, the flames have smothered into dust, leaving the relationship dry and dull.

This is when the very core of love is tested. The survivability of the relationship is no longer depended on whether roses are given or romantic candle light dinner is prepared. It is about whether the relationship can survive the storm with determination and commitment to help each face the storm; as well as unconditional and sacrificial love to give hope and faith in surviving the storm together.

In facing such relentless storm that could break or build the relationship, what is the greatest language of love? Most conservatists will opt for the most classic language that is widely spoken, from youthful passions to mature companionships, a language that has touched and warmed many hearts: “I Love You”!

As simple and classic as it may sound, some took great bravery to confess it; some said it casually to create momentary romance that soon fades away; while many have said it again and again, to the point of death that life has ended well because of the power of love.

This indeed is the greatest language of love. Not spoken with selfish and manipulative intentions but with the deepest desire to cherish the moments spent with your loved one, to be a pillar of strength though various seasons of life, and to hold on tightly to each other even at the point of diminishing hope, because after the storm is gone, sunrise and sunset will soon appear.

The storm is here but a moment. The sunset and sunrise last a life time for as long as both hearts keep guarding the flames and never put it off……“till death do us part”.

Excellent

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_qG7_7FcYjYE/SGW6--IFv-I/AAAAAAAAAMg/lKrK4btkCoo/s200/ipod.jpeg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5216781334370172898" />
In comparison to the larger iPod, people always say that for 50 dollars more you can get 5 times the space. Well, frankly, for most people, 1000 some songs is a lot of songs. All my favorite songs only take up about 120, and all my songs period are about 380 songs. People are always in awe when I tell them I have over 350 songs on my mini, and then they always ask, "How many can it hold?" and I respond with about 1000. Not one person has ever said, "Well that's not enough songs!".

When purchasing the iPod Mini you are purchasing it for its ergonomics and portability. It's a small unit, but isn't so small that it becomes unworkable (even in the hands of a 6'2" man), and it is heavy for its size but its weight is still negligable. When you apply pressure to the surface of the mini, you can really feel the substance of the unit, as opposed to other mp3 players that feel like they'll yield to just a little bit of pressure.

When I first got my mini, it just felt like the right size. Then later that week I saw one of Creative's mp3 players, and took note of its size. The mini is about 8 times smaller than the Creative player.

The backlight is bright, bright enough to illuminate a wall in full darkness, but not so bright as to become blinding. There are games, handy features for calenders, contacts, and notes, and it's incredibly easy to install and use iTunes.

Some people say that the sound quality of the iPod mini is sub-par. This just isn't true. The equalizer of the player is sub-par, but it gives wonderful neutral tones in highs and lows. It just becomes problematic if you jack the bass up too high and the like, (as is the trend with most music nowadays), but if you just run it with the EQ off it sounds wonderful.

Individual Fundraising

When you are doing individual fundraising for a personal cause such as breast cancer research, multiple sclerosis, AIDS charity, or even personal medical expenses, you need proven fundraising ideas. Here are six ideas for individual fundraisers.

Dinner Party
An easy way to raise funds is to throw a dinner party. You can make it a gala event, a potluck supper, or even a spaghetti dinner for hundreds of people. Use your creativity and design one that you feel comfortable doing.

Line up a suitable location and publicize it well ahead of time. Selling tickets in advance at a discounted price is a great way to ensure a sellout. Include raffles, door prizes, and auctions for extra funds.

Car Wash & Bake Sale
Why not do a one-two punch of two successful fundraisers in one? Car washes can easily $600 to $1,000 in a single Saturday and you can boost that by offering lots of home-baked goodies.

Keep drawing new customers by avoiding the appearance of a long wait. To speed things up, wash cars in multiple lines. Offer the baked goods to all your customers. An easy way to do it is to have everything out on tables where drivers wait while their cars are washed. Sell small boxes for $10 that they can fill up with their selections.

Holiday Home Tour
Ever want to see inside some of the latest new homes or tour the best houses of the local historic district? So do lots of other people and it's surprisingly easy to make a great fundraiser out of a themed tour.

For instance, new homes displaying the latest interior design fashions can be set up for fundraising. Sell tickets that allow access during a select time window such as week or ten-day timeframe. Builders then sell the designer houses either furnished or just decorated with great colors, draperies, etc.

Or, you can arrange a 'candlelight' tour of the Historic District to benefit your cause. Work with the neighborhood association to find homeowners willing to open their homes for a single night. Do guided walking tours in small groups and point out significant sites along the way.

'No Talent' Show
A twist on the standard talent show is doing one where everyone can demonstrate their lack of talent. Karaoke routines are popular as are wild dance moves and magic tricks. It's all in good fun and you can award prizes based on audience response, best costume, worst performance, etc.

Charge performers a small entry fee and attendees an admission fee. For extra profits, sell food and drinks, offer silent auction items, and don't forget to have a donations jar at the ticket table.

Themed Dance
Dances can be great fun and great fundraisers. All you need is a theme, a place, and some music. Possible themes include Roaring Twenties, Sixties, Disco, New Wave, Pop Tarts, Dancing With The Stars, Dancing Under The Stars, etc.

Whatever time period or fashion disasters you choose, live music will draw a bigger crowd than having a DJ will. Book a band that can cover the hits of that particular era and add promote heavily.

Add extra fundraising with silent auctions, wine tastings, whiskey tasting, catered dinner, slave auctions, and anything else that fits.

Fashion Show
These make a great mother/daughter event, but you can also take the fun route and include the Almost Queen For A Day men's beauty pageant for laughs during intermission.

Work with area stores and designers to line up an appropriate selection of fashions that will appeal to large audience. Include a catered lunch and silent auctions of donated goods and services. You could also work with your business partners to put together a live auction of some donated designer clothing.

Individual Fundraisers Summary
There are lots of individual fundraisers that you can put together fairly easily and still raise significant amounts of money. All it takes is a little event creativity and you're in business.

Add as many additional fundraising activities to your event as possible. Raffles, auctions, donations, sponsorships, sales, and discounts are among the most popular methods.

Draw a big crowd by publicizing your event with a press release, email campaign, newsletter, and by having everyone involved work their contacts. Most of all, make it a fun individual fundraising event that captures attention and supports a great cause.

by:Kimberly Reynolds

Wardrobe Tips For Your Online Dating Photos

Whether you choose a professional headshot photographer for your online dating photo or you decide to go it alone, you will need to make your photo as attractive as possible. But what is the right look for online dating photos? The answer depends on who you want to attract. Here are some suggestions to help you dress for online dating success.

First of all, decide what type of person you want to meet. You might want to meet a professional; a sporty, outdoors type; a book or music lover; or someone who values designer labels. The first tips for making a success of your online dating photos is to wear the kind of clothes that appeal to the person you’re trying to attract. If you want to attract a professional, dress like one. If you’re drawn to the outdoors type, a more casual look may be better.

Choosing Clothes For Online Dating Photos

Whichever look you go for, avoid excessively patterned clothes. These will steal attention from your face, which is the most important part of an online dating photo. Most members of an online dating site look first at the profiles with photos, so this is your best chance to make a good impression.

Instead of patterns and checks, go for solid colors. These can be either dark and neutral (which may be better for the professional image) or bright (to make your photo stand out.)

When people look at your online dating photo, they will pay attention to your eyes. Avoid covering your eyes with large sunglasses. You should also avoid anything that hides your face. Pull hair off your face and don’t wear large hats. If wearing jewelry, keep it understated. In short, avoid anything that takes attention from your face.

Setting Up Your Online Dating Photo

Once you’ve decided on the look you want, it’s time to set up the photo. Try to get good lighting. Early morning and late evening sunshine are flattering, if the weather is good. Otherwise, take your online dating photo in a well lit room. If you use a professional headshot photographer, he or she will be able to light the studio so you look your best.

Leave friends and family at home (except for your chosen photographer) and take the photographs on your own. When your photo is posted online, you want the people who see it to know who they should be looking at. Having other people in the photograph takes the attention off you.

Once you’ve chosen the clothes and location and set up the lighting, there’s only one more thing to do to make sure your online dating photo stands out. Smile: this is guaranteed to get attention, as most people are attracted to a smile.

by:Tiffani Smith

Top Foods For Burning Fat

It seems everyone these days is looking for the best foods to burn fat. Just eat those particular foods and see the fat melt away, or so we wish! Of course, it just isn’t that easy. But, research does indicate that certain foods seem to help burn fat when used sensibly.

The reasons vary for why some particular foods are better at burning fat than others. Some foods are thought to increase metabolism, some seem to satisfy cravings so that we don’t overeat, and still others work wonders because they are rich in Vitamin C or contain lots of fiber. However, most people looking to get rid of fat don’t care about the scientific details; they just want to know what works!

Instead of looking at specific foods, let’s look at the top categories of foods that tend to burn fat. For instance, some lists of top fat burning foods include cayenne pepper. However, there are several other similar foods that could also be listed such as garlic and mustard, which all fall into the category of spicy foods. Thinking in terms of these broad categories will give more variety in choosing foods to help burn fat.

Here are some of the top categories of fat burning foods:

• Spicy Foods – we already mentioned foods such as cayenne pepper, garlic, and mustard. Cinnamon and ginger should also be included in this group.

• Protein – lean meats such as turkey and chicken, very lean red meat.

• Essential Fatty Acids – best sources are fish, salmon, tuna, herring, mackerel, and sardines.

• Dairy – low fat and nonfat milk, cheese, and yogurt, eggs, especially egg whites.

• Fruit – apples and berries, bananas, citrus fruits, especially grapefruit.

• Green Tea – natural and safe to use, it helps to rev up the metabolism.

• Water – good for you in so many ways, it’s necessary to flush the burned fat out of your system.

• Vegetables high in Vitamin C – these include broccoli and cabbage, celery, carrots.

• Soybeans – considered by many to be the newest wonder food, soybeans can be found at most health food stores.

• Whole Grains – oatmeal, brown rice, whole grain breads.

The above list is by no means all inclusive. And it has to be said that you can’t expect to just eat some of these foods and then sit around while the fat burns away. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t work that way. As in all nutrition and dieting programs, a combination of proper diet and exercise is the key to healthy weight loss. But being aware of the food categories that can help burn fat will guide you in adding more of these foods to your diet.

by:Linda Hinkle

Bad Credit Loans: Tackle Bad Credit With Finances Easily

People suffering from a bad credit history often are faced with dire consequences when they need more money for fulfilling some needs but their earlier financial past does not let them get out of the trouble. There is however one option available which provides borrowers money to be taken up through bad credit loans.

With bad credit taking its toll on the financial history of the borrowers, it is suggested that the borrowers take up money only when they actually need it so as to avert any tight situations in the future. However there are some needs which cannot be avoided and therefore force the borrowers to borrow money like debt consolidation, wedding expenses, travel expenses, medical procedures, home improvement, and education cost etc.

To borrow money through these loans, even having a low credit score will not take away the right that they have to choose between the secured and the unsecured form. Through the unsecured form, the borrowers can take up an amount in the range of £1000-£25000 for their needs and are supposed to repay it in a term of 6months to 10 years. Rate of interest is high due to absence of collateral. Researching helps the borrowers in getting lower rate deals.

The borrowers can also take up the secured form of these loans which can be done by pledging an asset with the lender as security. The money may be borrowed in the range of £5000-£75000 for a term of 5-25 years. As compared to the unsecured form, the rate of interest for these loans is very low and can be very beneficial to the borrowers.

Through the online mode of researching, the borrowers can come across lenders who are ready to provide very low rate deals due to the stiff competition. The borrowers can apply for the free quote and then choose whichever loan deal is the most suitable.

With bad credit loans coming to the rescue of the borrowers, they find it very easy to fulfill their needs and even get a chance to fulfill their needs without burden.

by:Simon Tauffel

Blogs Are Us! One of the main topics that people who are sick and tired of their jobs search for a work at home opportunity. Being bored in life is not the reason why they do this. They do this because they are probably sick and tired of working for someone else for minimum wages.

It is not easy to find a good and solid work at home opportunity online because the fact is that there are plenty of scams out there. You know, programs that promise you riches for a fee but at the end just take your money and disappear. What you are left with is with, no info, no money, and a big disapointment.

As long as there are people willing and wanting to spend money on a new program that they think will get them home full time or even part time, there will always be people online who would not mind scamming those honest people who just want to make a decent income online.

Here are some things to look for if you are searching for a legitimate program to make money online:

1. Fake testimonials

Nothing gains trust faster and better than a testimonial on a sales website. Any webmaster can design their own website in anyway that they like it and put fake testimonials on it to make it appear that their product and service is the best out there.

So how do you know that a testimonial is a fake or not? Here are some pointers:
If a website has an audio or video testimonial, then that should give you a hint that they are very real and that the program is worth to join.

If a testimonial has a picture of the person attached to it, Another thing that you can do is to check the picture itself. Many testimonials show a picture of the person who submitted it. If that photo looks like a professional studio picture, then it is pretty much close to being a fake one. Any webmaster can go online and get any picture of anyone that they find. It is that easy.

A good way to find out that the program is good is by looking if people who leave their testimonials, also have a link to their own website. When you see this, you know that the testimonials are for real.

2. Certification sites and their seals

Certification logos to the BBB, the TRUSTe Privacy Program, HonestEOnline, I-Cop, and others help to find if a program is honest or not. If you go to a program that you like and see any of these certification logos, you can allow yourself to get some sense of assurance that you can trust it. You also need to make sure that you move your mouse over the certification seal and click on it. If you are not able to click on it, and it does not open up to a new page, you can then know that the website owner is stealing the images without paying for the service.

3. Online forums

Another way to find if a particular program is good or not is by going to a work at home forum and see if this program is any good. You can usually find info about a program by going to any of the search engines and do a search for it. What you will find is lots of info and feedbacks about the program.

Now, if you find that 90 is negative, you can be assured that the program is good. The reason why I am saying this is because some people, when they join an honest program, think that magic will happen as soon as they pay for the program. They think that they can just do nothing and still make money. When they see that no money comes in, they instantly bash the program and say bad things about it everywhere online.

by:Pat Watt

he Perfect Home Based Business and How to Start

When you finding a home based business you starts with knowing yourself. That means knowing what you are good at and what you do not do well. We would all love to be perfect in every aspect of life but the truth is we are not and we have to accept this fact. This is important because picking a business in which most of the tasks that need to be done are your strengths will increase your chances of success. But You do not talk much to people who you do not know and you keep to yourself usually. You are however extremely organized and love to write. It would most likely be in your best interest to be an article writer.

The next thing you need to know is the product or service that you will be offering. For most of us if we do not believe in what we are doing we will not reach the level of success that we desire. People will be able to tell if you believe in your product or not. So if you are looking at a network marketing company try being their customer for a couple of months before you join the business. Once you try the product or try the service then you will know how you feel about it. On top of that you will be more prepared to answer question about it because you have become familiar with it.

Once you picked a business that relies on your strengths and a product or service you can believe in you have to choose what your budget is going to be. Remember that most home businesses take at least months before you really start seeing results off so it is important to keep within a budget until then. If you decide to join a mlm you may have the type of sponsor that says you should buy this or buy that it will really help your business. Remembers that you need to stay within your budget. If the recommended items are out of your budget ask your sponsor to rank the items by importance.

This way you can stay in budget and get the items most needed first.
OK now you have your business, our product, and your budget now you are ready to start your business. Just remember that it is a business and should be treated as such. Running a home based business can be more difficult than running a traditional business. Running a business from home offers many distractions; Kids, TV , your bed, etc. You could have followed this guide perfectly but mess this up and you will not succeed. If you do not take it seriously you will just be wasting money and wasting time and since how most people start up home based businesses to have more time and more money you would be defeating the purpose.

Now that you have your business running you must market it. Marketing is how you get customers. Now there are many forms of marketing such as newspaper ads, flyers, TV ads, mailing lists, pay-per-click ads, power-linking, and many others. How you market your business is up to you. Each technique has its own strengths and weaknesses. Well I had the same concern when comparing it to the nintendo DS, but after making the plunge I realize it was probably worth much more than I paid. After taking it out of the box there is a serious WOW factor involved, the widescreen draws you in and its not bad to watch a movie on either. The fact that it has the ability to download pictures, movies, videos, mp3 on the memory card out of the box and has wireless connectivity just makes this an immensely versatile little machine.

Add in the analog nub as well as d-pad for gameplay and youve got yourself a serious gaming machine! The graphices are impressive, gameplay is fantastic it goes way past anything done on a handheld and is on par with a home system. The only drawback is the sound is a bit lacking for movies, sure you can plug in the supplied headphones (much better) or buy a stereo stand to watch on but the movie aspect is one thats not going to drive this as a reason to buy anyway. For games the sound seems more than adequit and the soundtracks on the games are outstanding and very to date with the current scene and should appeal to most tastes. As a movie/game/picture/music portable device its hard to knock but like anything else if you try hard enough you can find something and that something is that to drive such a device it takes alot of juice and the battery while not terrible is a bit short if your used to the gameboy or want to watch alot of movies.

Sony is investing heavily in R&D in battery development so they may have something in the pike sometime soon, but 3rd party developers have picked up on this and pelican offers a powerbrick that will charge your psp battery an additional two times or allow you to hook directly and keep playing. It is small, light and only 19.95 and I highly recommend if your serious about getting a psp. On the whole there are not going to be too many people that once they get ahold of this are disapointed and as such sony cant make enough to keep up with demand. But if your doing your research before dropping that kind of cash, expect to be wowed by the display, impressed by the graphics, consumed by the gameplay, annoyed at the battery and at the end of the day happy that you chose a sony psp. ...

Personal Loans: Get All Your Financial Needs Sorted Easily

It would be great burden for people if they experience a need for money which cannot be ignored. Even if you
normally don't bother about what others think of you, sometimes
these comments can be very hurtful. Just step back for a minute
before you respond and take time to think. Here are some tips to
help you keep your sanity and make full claim on your blog.

Your Blog Is A Public Place. Yes, people should respect your home
turf; it is your blog, your rules and all that. But you really shouldn't
be surprised to receive attacks and criticisms. One of the most
powerful things about blogs is its social nature and few people get
that.

If you can't bear to receive anything negative (true or not) then
you don't need a blog. You need a private fan club.

Respond to the comment. No matter how difficult, you should
acknowledge and respond to the nasty comment. Keeping silent is
simply sweeping the problem under the carpet and that person is
not going away until you deal with them.

Respond calmly even when you feel nothing close to calm. You may
need some time to cool off and really think about your response
before blindly raging ahead with an inappropriate response.

Ask yourself if you can learn from them. While you're taking time to
calm yourself down, think it through. Does what that person say
have merit? Sometimes we may believe so strongly about
something it's easy to say "They're wrong and I'm right" but think
about it seriously, are they really wrong or are you just letting your
pride and emotions get in the way?

If you are right, there's always something you can learn from the
situation. For one, do not behave like that when you comment on
other people's blog.

Make your response a gracious one. Be sure you don't respond in
anger, it will only make you look petty. Respond in a polite and
reasonable manner and you will be shown as a mature blog owner
who cannot be pushed around by someone trying to stir up
controversy on your blog.

Choose your words carefully and be judicious. There's a world of
difference between saying "I'm tired of you attacking my blog,
leave me alone and go away" and "I'm sorry you feel that way. I
stand by my decision but can understand where you're coming
from."

If you get one person who comments, you can be sure there are
plenty more who read but didn't comment. Even though they may
not leave their calling card behind, you should know there are
more readers than people who comment and it's the readers you
want to keep on your side. So, if you tell people to go away as in
the example above, they might really leave and never come back.

There's no need to reciprocate an attack. Doing so only makes you
look like you condone bad behavior and more than willing to get
into a fight with anyone who doesn't agree with you.

Your blog is something you should be proud to say represents you
and your business so you want to make sure to keep petty fights
or arguments far away, no matter who actually started it. When
your readers who post positive comments visit they don't want to
see silly arguments, they're interested in a quality blog so that
means you must always stay professional. Think of anyone making
comments as your potential business partners or customers. They
may even respect you for bring a positive light to what they had to
say.

by:Lynette Chandler

Summer Diet Tips

Summertime means warm weather, outdoor barbeques and competing to wear the shortest shorts possible. Well, maybe only for the ladies. But, many body-conscious individuals find themselves dreading this season due to the fact that they gained a few pounds. While a nutritious diet and maintaining a healthy weight are year-round goals one should strive for, it’s especially important to keep yourself hydrated and in good condition during these long summer months.

Why?

Well, for the first reason, unless you live in Antarctica, it’s hot outside! Being overweight and trying to do daily tasks can be extra hard on your heart when the thermometer’s pushing 95 degrees. When your body sweats, you lose water and a lot of sodium. It’s vital to keep hydrated and drink tons of water. Keep a bottle of water on your desk or even on your kitchen counter. You’ll drink it out of habit because it’s there, I promise! It’s also light years healthier than carbonated soda, which can deplete your body of calcium and loads on the calories.

How Not to Overheat:

If you must be outside during the hottest parts of the day (around 11am-3pm) then a good idea would be to slather on the sunscreen. Drink water consistently and try to get into air-conditioning at least a few minutes every hour. Scorching temperatures can give you heat exhaustion, or worse, heat stroke. Feel dizzy or your stomach hurts? These are the warning signs of heat exhaustion. Head indoors periodically to relieve your system from the sun.

Healthy Foods to Cool You Down:

Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Not only will they give you the Vitamin C you need and contribute to weight loss, they actually drop your body temperature. Lettuce, melons, celery and oranges have lots of water in them, which can pump up your hydration levels.

Reasons to Skip Fast Food:

Use this summer to really get in shape. By avoiding fried foods, did you know you can actually feel cooler than someone who downs McDonalds everyday? Grease has a heated thermal effect on your system, making you feel sluggish and groggy. Grab a salad with chicken for protein, which tricks your body into feeling fuller than if you scarfed down a mouthful of carbs.

Lose Weight:

A great hint to feeling cooler and having more energy throughout the summer is cutting the fat. Literally. Why not join a gym or even compare programs for diets? 6StarReviews.com is a source you can go to in finding an online diet suitable for your body and financial situation. They say one diet program, eDiets, gives their customers recipes formulated for specific diets, expert advice and weight loss journals. Stay healthy and don’t add to the 66.3% of Americans over the age of 20 who are currently overweight or obese. Your body will thank you.

by:Kelly Liyakasa

Affiliate Marketing: Staying Away From Scams

Many of us are upset and frustrated with our current jobs. The low pay and sense of being undervalued drive many of us to dream of our own businesses. However, the costs combines with the risk factors stops most of us in our tracks. Affiliate marketing is a way for people to work for themselves with no risk. There is no cost to you and you’re paid on performance. However, today one has to be careful. There are plenty of scammers and con artists out there that are more than happy to take you money and hard work off of you. Unfortunately, affiliate marketing is not immune to these scammers. Daily, people are taken in by promises of big money with relatively little effort. In this article we will teach you some of the signs to look for and tell you how to spot a scam.

When you join an affiliate marketing scheme, you either going to sell a product or a service. With products, you usually have a choice and range to sell. How you decide to do this is largely up to you. You could also sell a service. Web page designs as well as increasing sales and internet traffic are all examples of services offered by affiliate marketing programs.

How many times have you seen as ad on the internet promising huge earnings? Things like “Earn 1000$ a day” or Join our program now and become a millionaire. If your look closely at these ads they are not actually selling anything. Any company that is just selling the opportunity to make money is likely a scam. True, some affiliate marketing companies will have attention grabbing headlines like the ones mentioned above. However, if you go on to read the ad and information, there will likely be a detailed description of what they company sells. They will also have a disclaimer and terms and conditions listed.

These companies that offer, the opportunity to make money are likely pyramid schemes. The only people paying money in are the ones actually joining. There is no income being created, just money being passed from person to person. Not only are these scams and you’ll loose what you invested, they are also illegal and you can face prosecution.

Another thing to watch out for is no free participation. If you have to pay to join then you may have stumbled upon a scam or what is known as a multilevel marketing program. Multi-level marketing programs are completely legal and some people make good livings out of them. However, if you’re not successful you may end up purchasing a bunch of products that you cannot sell.

True affiliate programs are free. That is part of their attraction. There are no costs to you and they should also be risk free. Any Affiliate marketing programs that demands your money is not an affiliate program. You should ask yourself why they are misrepresenting themselves this way if they are legitimate.

Many of us dream of being our own bosses. We would love to be able to take control of our lives and careers. The attraction of answering only to you combined with setting your own working hours and committing what your choose bring loads of people into the affiliate marketing schemes. Affilaite marketing can be an excellent way for a highly motivated, creative person to make an excellent living. There are some wonderful programs out there just waiting to be joined. However, for every great program there is likely one that is fraudulent. Con artists operate in many areas and unfortunate affiliate marketing is not immune.

Before joining, check to see what the company is selling. If they are not selling goods or services then they are likely an illegal pyramid scheme. If they require your own money to get started then they are what are known as a multi level marketing program. Affiliate marketing can be a great opportunity but you need to do your homework.

by:angelrice

10 Ways to Market Your Article OFFLINE!

So you want to market your website? My site is stamped on every bill or letter that I mail. I also sell on eBay occasionally and I always have my website in RED letters across the box. Many people see that box during the mail process. Be sure to include a business card inside the envelope or package for whoever is receiving it.

3. Clothing - Wear clothes with your website on them. Be a walking billboard for your company. People will ask you questions. Buttons work well too!

4. Flyers & Cards - Use your website on all marketing materials and leave them everywhere you go. I post them on bulletin boards, in laundry mats, grocery stores, and everywhere that I go throughout the day. Keep a roll of tape with you in case there are no push pins. Tape a card to the inside door of bathroom stalls. Sounds silly, but you can bet anyone who sits down will read it!!

5. Checks - Have your website printed on your personal and business checks. You never know who may see it.

6. Auctions - Donate items to auctions and use your website name instead of your name. It will say donated (Your Website) in the program for all to see.

7. Classified Ads - Small inexpensive classified newspaper ads work well, especially if you have a good domain name.

8. Signs - Road signs work well. Keep in mind they may not stay up long before they are taken down, but lots of people may see them while they are up. Just use a few words and your website. Simple is best.

9. Voicemail - Leave your website on your voicemail. If you’re not available to answer the phone, they’ll get a reminder to visit your website.

10. Out of the Box - Think out of the box! Bus benches, shopping carts, sides of barns, restaurant placemats, floats in parades, and anything you can think of that will get people’s attention! Go beyond the ordinary.

by:Lisa Schulte

Turning Your Hobby Into a Business

Look around. You will probably see people working all day long, almost every second. But, there may be something else that you failed to notice. That is the fact that everybody in this world does something that they enjoy during their leisure time. In other words, most everybody in this world has a hobby. It can range from writing to stamp/coin collecting to singing to crocheting. Do you have a hobby? What is it?

Whatever it is, did you ever think that you could make money from your hobby? Turn it into a business? Well you can. Many people earn a living from their hobbies each year and it is one of the most under-used income opportunities around. Many people understand that the imaginations and skills they have developed through their hobbies are priceless to those who appreciate and seek unique and original works.

But how can you make your hobby a business; one that can earn you a living? Well, the answer is simple. Many people nowadays are too busy with their work and hence have a difficulty in finding the much needed time and energy to learn these skills or make these projects themselves. These people (therefore) are willing to pay for such items and services from those who do possess the skills and knowledge of the craft. So this is the point where you find your niche’ and make your money. (Remember that major companies like ebay started as outlets for hobbyists, but now are “cash-cows” earning millions.)

Then comes the problems of how are you going to start this venture, where would you find places to sell/perform, when to sell and how things work (from the point of ordering to delivery). It is not hard to find answers and solutions for these problems. Starting with how you are going to start this project, all you have to do is believe in what you are going to do, and display professionalism in what you are doing.

Once you have decided on what to do, the problems of when, where, and how to sell your product-outputs emerge. Some (hobbies) products have a seasonal appeal; therefore the timing should be right. Where to sell is by far the most important issue. You could sell to your family and friends from the comfort of your home, have a small outlet in a local store or craft show, or go online (ebay.com) if you want to reach a much bigger market. Then the arrangements as to how customers could place an order (by phone, mail, or online), how they could pay (by cash, credit cards, or Paypal), and how they want it delivered (mailed or hand delivered) has to be decided.

Once all these things are in place, you are set to go. You will be able to earn an additional income doing what you like, while feeling less stressed and worried. With the increased instability in the economy and loss of jobs, using your hobby as a source of extra income can help you in various other ways. You could use these earnings to pay for college tuition, for your retirement account or splurge on that longed for vacation of your dreams.

by:susan hutson

Trend of Making Friends and Romance with Online Dating

Online dating websites create the opportunity for people to meet potential partners and friends online. Although many people go out specifically looking to find romance, the general trend is that most people upload a profile to a social networking website and meet partners online in much the same way that you would offline. When you go out of your way to find a date, it is often much harder than leaving it to come along naturally when you meet someone who you click with. When you meet someone and immediately show an interest in them, it can be difficult to really get to know each other when there is a pressure that your relationship has to materialize into one of romance. When you take a more laid back approach, you can remain friends with some people, and consider dating those that you feel you have made a bond with.

Online social networking sites are also great to meet potential partners because of the relative anonymity that you can maintain from the outset. The same goes with meeting friends as well; you can talk to them without having to share your telephone number, address and other personal information which is obviously necessary for a relationship offline. Therefore choosing not to email them back or even not to respond in the first place is perfectly acceptable etiquette and you will not have to worry about any consequences that could prevail.

On the other hand, when you do meet someone that you like, the anonymity offered by the internet is potentially less favorable – you have no way to verify they are who they say they are. That is why when you meet someone you met online for the first time, it is best to suggest a meeting in a busy place, and to consider suggesting that you both bring friends along with you. Not only will this be safer, it will also be less uncomfortable since you will both have people there that you know.

Many people who are nervous offline find meeting people online much easier, and that can be true of meeting friends as well. Despite that, you should keep in mind that should you wish for your online relationship to flourish offline you need to remain true to who you are, and the way that you are comfortable of acting and conducting yourself. Although you may be tempted to tell white lies in order to entice the person to like you more, it is very important that you stay true to yourself.

When you go on a dating site at first, you may have problems trying to find people to talk with at first since you have just started out. One great way to do this is to search the site to find people that you think you have the potential to bond with. If your offline friends participate as well, you could start talking with their friends, and friends of their friends, and so on. Over time you can be sure to meet great new people from all around the world.

by:Rebecca Walker

What the BLOG???

Blogs Are the NEW Secret Weapon for Reaching Your Tarket (target market). Just like you, I hate being marketed to. Every day we're bombarded with over 3,500 marketing messages. And frankly I'm sick of it! But blogs are different. Blogs are a two-way conversation between blogger and bloggee (plus all the readers in between). Through commenting and cross-linking, you can share feedback. You can build your network. You can become, dare I say it, an Internet celebrity!

See, blogs add humanity and instantaneous expression to the web. Like ezines, blogs are a way for your customer to get to know you.

However, unlike ezines, blogs help you with search engine rankings. Did you hear me? I said, unlike ezines, blogs help you with search engine rankings. That's a big one.

Entrepreneur Magazine, Business Week, even the FCC (Federal Trade Commission) all believe blogs are here to stay. Michael Powell, chairman of the FCC, started one. His initial post drew over 30,000 readers. A Microsoft spokesperson says Bill Gates is considering starting a blog. And filmmaker Michael Moore built a blog to promote his controversial movie, Fahrenheit 9/11.

But who has time to read a blog anyway? Exactly! The job of a blog is to cut through the information overload and deliver searchable, relevant and current content. Blog Ads recently conducted a survey of over 17,000 blog readers. Here's what they report:

Blog readers are older and more affluent. 61% of blog readers are over 30, and 75% make more than $45,000 a year.

Blog readers are more cyber-active. 54% of their news consumption is online. 21% are themselves bloggers and 46% describe themselves as opinion makers.
Blog readers are media-mavens. 21% subscribe to the New Yorker magazine, 15% to the Economist, 15% to Newsweek and 14% to the Atlantic Monthly.

Whether on the left or right, blog readers have traits in common that often are absent in today's public spaces: passion and initiative.

Blog readers have apathy towards traditional news sources. 82% say that television is worthless. 55% percent say the same about print newspapers. 54% say the same about print magazines.

Meanwhile, 86% say that blogs are either useful or extremely useful as sources of news or opinion. 80% say they read blogs for news they can't find elsewhere. 78% read because the perspective is better. 66% value the faster news. 61% say that blogs are more honest.

Blog readers appear united in their dissatisfaction with conventional media and their rabid love of blogs.

Don't you want to be a blogger too?

by:Lorrie Morgan-Ferrero

Personal Loans – Tips For A Less Burdensome Deal

People need money for variety of purposes. They can find personal loans as per their requirements and circumstances. However, if availed without first taking all of its aspects into account, the same loan may become a source of financial trouble in the coming days.

Through these loans, you can meet expenditures on home improvements, wedding, car purchasing, holiday tour etc. The loan comes for a particular purpose, or you are free to put it for variety of uses.

Personal loans are accessible in secured or unsecured options. For the requirement of greater loan of up to £75000, you need to pledge your valued asset like home or a vehicle, as collateral. The advantage of such a secured loan is lower rate of interest. Greater amount of loan comes with larger repayment duration of 5 to 30 years. However, avoid carrying the loan for many more years, as you will end-up making high interest payments.

On the other hand, the unsecured loans provides only smaller amount of up to £25000, for a short period of few months to 15 years, depending on the loan amount and your circumstances. These loans depend on the lenders’ faith in you. Hence, people find the loan approval with ease, if they have a good credit history. Both tenants and homeowners are eligible to take out these loans without collateral. However, interest rate will be on higher side.

People can take these loans with bad credit history as well. They need to prove their intention of repaying the loan on time. However, interest rate will go higher.

It is advisable to apply for rate quotes of personal loans. While comparing the loan offers, you should also be aware of the additional fees on these loans. For a less costly loan, ensure that the rate is lower and the fee charges are fewer.

by:Simon Tauffel

Euro 2008 - Classy Russia stun the Dutch

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_qG7_7FcYjYE/SF8UEohbqII/AAAAAAAAALw/KzYzWiSJGao/s200/4d95aeb9f5215dafaaf33d7e18e05053.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214908963347998850" />
Russia were the better side throughout a match that was ordinary for the most part, with the usual Euro 2008 late drama sealed by a virtuoso performance from little Andrei Arshavin, who must now be the main candidate for player of the tournament.

And the Dutch - so impressive when they convincingly beat World Cup finalists Italy and France in the group stages - were frankly poor by their high standards.

Roman Pavlyuchenko thought he had won it for Russia when he finished from close range in the second half, but a late Ruud van Nistelrooy header forced extra-time.

Pavlyuchenko also hit the bar on 97 minutes as the Russians had several chances to win it in the additional 30 minutes, and they finally took them when Dmitry Torbinski and then Arshavin scored the winning goals as the clock wound down to the drama of a penalty shoot-out.

The win allowed Russia's Dutch boss Hiddink to complete the treason he had threatened, while outgoing Oranje boss Marco van Basten was left rueing what could - and arguably should - have been for a Dutch side who performed their classic party trick of peaking too early in tournaments.

An even if uneventful first half saw the Russians impress while in possession whereas the Dutch looked dangerous from set-pieces.

Yuri Zhirkov went close with a sixth-minute free-kick that Edwin Van der Sar was forced to touch behind for a corner, from which Russia had successive chances from Denis Kolodin and Pavlyuchenko.

The Netherlands had the next two opportunities, through Orlando Engelaar's drive wide and a Van Nistelrooy miss when Rafael van der Vaart sent a brilliant free-kick to the far post.

Van der Sar was called into action again when he made a great low save after playmaker Arshavin tricked his way into a shooting position, while the corner that followed was cleared to Kolodin, who hammered a ridiculous shot from 35 yards that Van der Sar again kept out.

Defender Kolodin was finding his shooting boots, and when the resultant set-play again dropped to him near the halfway line he cracked another incredible effort that whistled just wide.

The Dutch were on the rack, but Russia still looked vulnerable at the back. Kolodin in particular could not match his attacking prowess with defensive nous, and almost let Van Nistelrooy in before he handed a chance on a plate to Van der Vaart, who was denied by keeper Igor Akinfeev.

At the break, Van Basten brought Robin van Persie on for the ineffectual Dirk Kuyt. It started well enough for them, with Nigel de Jong unlucky not to connect with another good Van der Vaart free-kick after poor marking.

But knock-out tournament specialist Hiddink drew first blood against his homeland.

Ten minutes into the second half Arshavin played a cute pass into Sergei Semak on the left, who whipped in a superb cross to Pavlyuchenko who atoned for his early miss with a simple finish past the helpless Van der Sar.

Van Basten could see things slipping away from his team and made a bold move when he brought on John Heitinga - a threat at set pieces - and the attack-minded Ibrahim Affelay.

It was still Russia, however, who looked more likely to add to their tally.

First Pavlyuchenko found right-back Alexander Anyukov on the overlap who hammered in a shot across goal that Van der Sar saved in style.

And then Joris Mathijsen almost gifted a second to Pavluchenko when he let a high ball bounce over his head, only for Van der Sar again to deny Russia.

Netherlands huffed and puffed but Russia were holding firm, and a long-range effort from Wesley Sneijder was the closest they came to levelling.

Zhirkov could have doubled the lead as his side tried to walk the ball in, but a poor first touch meant he had to cut the ball back to Pavlyuchenko when shooting was the desired option.

But with four minutes left, Russia's inability to defend set pieces was finally exploited. From the left wing, Real Madrid midfielder Sneijder swung a dangerous free-kick into the box to which Russia's back four got nowhere near.

They also failed to track Van Nistelrooy, who flew in with a diving far-post header to make it 1-1.

There was a brief scare for Russia in injury-time when Kolodin was shown a second yellow for a foul on Sneijder, but the double-whammy of going down to ten men and having to defend another free-kick was cancelled by the assistant referee, who told Slovakian whistle-blower Lubos Michel that the ball had gone out of play moments before the challenge.

Arshavin - who was the co-architect of Zenit St Petersburg's UEFA Cup triumph with another Dutch coach, Dick Advocaat - then went close five minutes into extra-time when he fired over after making space in the box.

And just afterwards, Pavlyuchenko picked the ball up on the left wing and unleashed a brilliant drive that clattered off the angle of post and bar with Van der Sar beaten.

It was all Russia. Substitute Torbinskiy finished weakly into the body of Van der Sar after yet more devilish work from Arshavin, while Kolodin sent a long-range free-kick fizzing inches wide.

They had a great shout for a penalty turned down when Zhirkov was brought down by Heitinga, and it seemed as if it was going to be a painful night for Russia when Torbinski then missed a sitter.

But yet more magic from Arshavin won the match. On 11 minutes he raced down the left and swung a brilliantly-improvised far post lob to Torbinski who - having just been booked and ruled out of the semi - somehow flicked the ball with the outside of his left boot, from an impossible angle, to beat Van der Sar and send the white-clad underdogs into raptures.

And the win was sealed when, from a quick throw, Arshavin snuck behind the Dutch defence to drill a low shot under Van der Sar with four minutes of extra-time remaining.

It was a fitting end to a quite superb display from Russia, who will face the winners of Italy and Spain's quarter for a place in the final.

from:YaHoo Sports

Finding soul mate Online Dating

I am talking with my sister about my first date that makes me think that, in life everyone is always in search of soul mate. Without a budget, you are setting yourself up for failure.

I know you can find ads that say “no money required” or “free to join”. However, money can only be made if something somewhere is bought and sold. In order for you to buy and sell whatever it is you are now in business with will require money to invest.

To begin with, whatever you are selling, you need to try yourself. While it might be free to “join a program”, there will be a fee to try the service or product.

Now consider the actual business aspect of your venture. There are fees to purchase a domain and fees to host your domain. “But the program gives me a free website” you might be thinking. There’s not a lot you can do with an affiliate site URL. If you want to advertise, write articles etc, you’re going to need your own domain. Free websites give you what you pay for. They are loaded with ads and try to find 10 people, just 10 people who have made purchases from a free web site.

To put up a website will also take an investment. You’ll either need to purchase a site building program or you’ll need to hire someone to build the site for you. Either way, this too is a financial investment.

What about marketing? How are you going to market whatever it is you are selling? Again, you might be thinking “but I know you can advertise for free”. Yes, there are forms of advertising that are free, such as article marketing, plug boards and message boards. However, these methods of marketing need to be combined with paid advertising. You’ll need to place classified ads, place banner ads and put ads into ezines. This all costs money.

Are there any supplies you’ll need? Often folks will buy a software program to help keep track of inventory, or help them keep track of customers. Sometimes folks will buy an accounting program to help them keep track of money in and money out. What about your work space? Do you have everything you need at home for your work space?

Often in business, you’ll need a long distance service for your phone. I use a combination of the free long distance on my cell phone and a phone card that I pay only a couple of cents per minute on.

I believe one of the first things you’ll need when considering a home business is a realistic budget of how much this business will cost to get off the ground. There really is no such thing as a “free business”.

by:Audrey Okaneko

3 Strategies for Successful Branding

Successful branding really is all about one thing: recognition from your customers, when your customers are able to identify just what your company, product, or service is all about and are able to separate you from your competition.

At that point you've already taken one of the most important steps toward grabbing their attention. Branding uses several methods to ensure that your company name is at the top of the list and that your potential customers can find you among all the competition that exists on the Internet.

Branding has one aim: to earn the trust of your customers so that they buy from you, buy repeatedly from you, and refer you to family and friends.

You will want to develop branding for your business. Websites that lets your customers quickly recognize who you are, what your products or services are, and a logo that is easily identified with the image that represents quality, service, and value.

Brand recognition should be a direct reflection of the products and services that you're selling as well as the personal style of your business. There are different methods that you can infuse into your branding marketing strategy so that you can gain that all important recognition for your business:

•Packaging that is creative. You want to create packaging for your products that can be easily identified by your customers and that they'll remember when they see your product online or offline in your brick-and-mortar store.

•Communication that is visual. You want to create a logo for your business that can be displayed on the packaging of your products or that symbolizes the services that you're selling. This type of visual communication with your customers will help them to recognize your business in an instant. Not only should your logo be displayed on your packaging, it should also display prominently on your business cards, catalogs, letterhead, brochures, and any other type of media that you use for the marketing of your business.

•Advertising campaigns that boost your business. Take every opportunity to expose your business to all kinds of media. You want to encourage and improve your company profile whenever you can so that customers trust and rely on you and your products.

Make sure that you have strategies in place that implement successful and positive branding for your business. Some strategies that you should keep in mind include having clear and precise goals and knowing what your company stands for, having a mission statement that is strong and definite so that you know exactly where your business is going and how you want to arrive at that destination, being determined and constant in the way you deal with your customers so that they know what they can expect each time that they do business with you, and remembering that branding is all about reaching your customers and staying in touch with them.
The bottom line is that branding allows you to sell your products or services to customers in a way that makes you stand out from the crowd of competitors, each of whom is looking for his or her share of Internet business.

by:Shonda Miles
