This was the big question of my life last year. Should I look for relationships online? To be honest, I had a pretty big attitude about online dating sites. I have friends and family who have been hurt in relationships that started online so I was against the whole idea of it.

Then I turned 37 and realized that in the last three years I hadn't met even one decent guy in my town who I would like to date. I thought I should consider moving to a bigger city or risk being alone forever, but I like where I live. I like my home, my friends, my work.

So I turned my attentions to the internet. I figure this is all about expanding my range of possibilities without having to change locations. I've been participating on two of the big online relationships websites now for the last ten months. I've met some nice guys and I've met some real neanderthals. I haven't felt any intense emotions about any of them yet but I am having a good time. The key for me is to take it slow and protect myself every step of the way.

Now, should you look for relationships online?

There are people online who I am convinced should not be in the online dating market. Mainly, they're desperate. Desperate people, both men and women, see what they want to see in other people and they end up making mistakes. I can't believe the number of people I've just met who are emailing me to tell me about their engagement after just a few weeks or a couple of months. I'd like to be happy for them but I just can't help but worry that they've gotten too serious too quickly.

You might be thinking to yourself, 'Hill, aren't you desperate? Isn't that why you're looking for a husband on the internet?' At almost 38 I am definitely starting to feel some anxiety about the whole single thing - but I'm not desperate. I want to meet and marry the perfect guy for me and if that isn't going to happen, I will be just fine on my own.

That is why I think my online search for a man is a healthy one. Because I don't need him to make me happy. I am happy. I would just like to be happy with someone else who is happy to. Then we can live happy together.

Anyone who has been in a relationship for a significant period of time can tell you that eventually you and your partner will settle into a comfortable routine together and will share so many things that often communication simply isn't needed at times. Especially when you have been in a relationship for a very long time, you naturally assume that the other person knows that you love them and wouldn't be with them if you weren't in love with them. And after years of being together, you may still say "I love you", however it is said with the same tone and with about the same intent as if you were saying "Good morning" to them.

Love is one of the most potent, and most life-changing emotions that we as humans feel. Therefore, to communicate your love for someone else is often a difficult task as no one can really describe what love feels like. However, it is important for you to make an effort to communicate your love to your partner in unique and interesting new ways so that they are aware of how sincere and deep your love is.

One of the ways you can show your deep love for another person is a love letter. Especially in this age of technology where emails send our thoughts and feelings instantaneously with the click of a button, instant messengers allow us to speak to each other from thousands of miles away, and people carry phones everywhere, the simple act of taking the time and effort to actually write out a love letter to your partner can be one of the most sincere and touching things you can do. You don't have to be flowery and romantic, and you don't have to worry about what sounds right or wrong. The very fact that you took the time to write it down on paper (which is so much more permanent than emails or text messages!) shows that you truly care about that person. While you can be elaborate with scented and printed stationary, or very basic and jotting it down on a notepad, the thoughts behind it will still get through.

Another wonderful way of saying I love you is to constantly let the other person know you are thinking about them. Again, when you get into a long-term relationship, you are probably easily distracted by other things and you know your partner will always be there for you and that creates a sense of security where you don't feel the need to constantly remind them of your thoughts. However, people in general love attention and shows of affection. So whether it's leaving little notes around the house, giving short shoulder rubs, hugging, or just letting them know you appreciate them, there are a thousand little ways you can constantly remind your significant other of your love for them and your recognition of their being in the relationship with you.

Also, you can always "freshen up" an old relationship by throwing new spice into it. Do something together that you haven't done since you were teenagers or just beginning to date. For example, when is the last time you just did some serious necking with your partner? Without worrying about getting past 3rd base, that is? And you can also have dates, go see events that interest you both, or even just open up communication about things you have never told the other person about before.

Finally, be sure to share some activities with your partner. Find something you both would like to do, but have never done together, such as horseback riding, playing video games, making a website together or something else that can bring you together in a close way and allow you to share in the happiness of the moment. Relationships may get old and even boring after some time, so be sure to keep things fresh and exciting and remind your partner just how much you appreciate them being in your life!

Love, is where two hearts meet and knit together through happiness and sadness. Love can make many hearts skip with excitement yet love can also cause many broken hearts. It takes little effort for one to become a romantic partner. The many creative and interesting ways to add romance in relationship can be readily found in books, magazines, and the internet.

It takes great effort for those in pursuit of a deeper love relationship that could survive many unprepared and unexpected storms. Many will readily say “yes” when asked whether they are romantic lovers. However, few will admit that they are consummate lovers that does not seek the returns of love but are willing to devote their lives in giving true happiness to the person they love.

Whether you are in love, falling out of love or have never been in love, it is never too early or too late to learn the greatest language of love. Learning to love is a growing process. It always starts off with the special feelings that could not get your mind off from thinking about the special person. If such feelings are experienced by the two persons who are about to fall in love, it leads to an eclectic stage where both eyes and hearts are strongly magnetized towards each other. Great deal of time is now spent together as the sparks of love turn into burning flames; where romance is at its peak.

However, this journey of love which initially took off to Caribbean beach; surrounded by sunset and paradise, soon landed on the pathway of reality. The flames of love have gradually smothered as the demands and expectations of life set in.

For some, the flames have smothered into shimmering sparks similar to that found in the fire flies. These sparks are soon carried by the fire flies to ignite another flame with someone else. This is when love causes heartaches and trust, betrayed. Yet for many, the flames have smothered into dust, leaving the relationship dry and dull.

This is when the very core of love is tested. The survivability of the relationship is no longer depended on whether roses are given or romantic candle light dinner is prepared. It is about whether the relationship can survive the storm with determination and commitment to help each face the storm; as well as unconditional and sacrificial love to give hope and faith in surviving the storm together.

In facing such relentless storm that could break or build the relationship, what is the greatest language of love? Most conservatists will opt for the most classic language that is widely spoken, from youthful passions to mature companionships, a language that has touched and warmed many hearts: “I Love You”!

As simple and classic as it may sound, some took great bravery to confess it; some said it casually to create momentary romance that soon fades away; while many have said it again and again, to the point of death that life has ended well because of the power of love.

This indeed is the greatest language of love. Not spoken with selfish and manipulative intentions but with the deepest desire to cherish the moments spent with your loved one, to be a pillar of strength though various seasons of life, and to hold on tightly to each other even at the point of diminishing hope, because after the storm is gone, sunrise and sunset will soon appear.

The storm is here but a moment. The sunset and sunrise last a life time for as long as both hearts keep guarding the flames and never put it off……“till death do us part”.

In comparison to the larger iPod, people always say that for 50 dollars more you can get 5 times the space. Well, frankly, for most people, 1000 some songs is a lot of songs. All my favorite songs only take up about 120, and all my songs period are about 380 songs. People are always in awe when I tell them I have over 350 songs on my mini, and then they always ask, "How many can it hold?" and I respond with about 1000. Not one person has ever said, "Well that's not enough songs!".

When purchasing the iPod Mini you are purchasing it for its ergonomics and portability. It's a small unit, but isn't so small that it becomes unworkable (even in the hands of a 6'2" man), and it is heavy for its size but its weight is still negligable. When you apply pressure to the surface of the mini, you can really feel the substance of the unit, as opposed to other mp3 players that feel like they'll yield to just a little bit of pressure.

When I first got my mini, it just felt like the right size. Then later that week I saw one of Creative's mp3 players, and took note of its size. The mini is about 8 times smaller than the Creative player.

The backlight is bright, bright enough to illuminate a wall in full darkness, but not so bright as to become blinding. There are games, handy features for calenders, contacts, and notes, and it's incredibly easy to install and use iTunes.

Some people say that the sound quality of the iPod mini is sub-par. This just isn't true. The equalizer of the player is sub-par, but it gives wonderful neutral tones in highs and lows. It just becomes problematic if you jack the bass up too high and the like, (as is the trend with most music nowadays), but if you just run it with the EQ off it sounds wonderful.

Most peoples first reaction when debating to buy will be yeah but what about the price? Well I had the same concern when comparing it to the nintendo DS, but after making the plunge I realize it was probably worth much more than I paid. Add in the analog nub as well as d-pad for gameplay and youve got yourself a serious gaming machine! The graphices are impressive, gameplay is fantastic it goes way past anything done on a handheld and is on par with a home system. The only drawback is the sound is a bit lacking for movies, sure you can plug in the supplied headphones (much better) or buy a stereo stand to watch on but the movie aspect is one thats not going to drive this as a reason to buy anyway. For games the sound seems more than adequit and the soundtracks on the games are outstanding and very to date with the current scene and should appeal to most tastes. As a movie/game/picture/music portable device its hard to knock but like anything else if you try hard enough you can find something and that something is that to drive such a device it takes alot of juice and the battery while not terrible is a bit short if your used to the gameboy or want to watch alot of movies.

Sony is investing heavily in R&D in battery development so they may have something in the pike sometime soon, but 3rd party developers have picked up on this and pelican offers a powerbrick that will charge your psp battery an additional two times or allow you to hook directly and keep playing. It is small, light and only 19.95 and I highly recommend if your serious about getting a psp. On the whole there are not going to be too many people that once they get ahold of this are disapointed and as such sony cant make enough to keep up with demand. But if your doing your research before dropping that kind of cash, expect to be wowed by the display, impressed by the graphics, consumed by the gameplay, annoyed at the battery and at the end of the day happy that you chose a sony psp. ...

Anyone who has a blog knows that the more visitors you get, the
more common negative comments will become. Even if you
normally don't bother about what others think of you, sometimes
these comments can be very hurtful. Just step back for a minute
before you respond and take time to think. Here are some tips to
help you keep your sanity and make full claim on your blog.

Your Blog Is A Public Place. Yes, people should respect your home
turf; it is your blog, your rules and all that. But you really shouldn't
be surprised to receive attacks and criticisms. One of the most
powerful things about blogs is its social nature and few people get
that.

If you can't bear to receive anything negative (true or not) then
you don't need a blog. You need a private fan club.

Respond to the comment. No matter how difficult, you should
acknowledge and respond to the nasty comment. Keeping silent is
simply sweeping the problem under the carpet and that person is
not going away until you deal with them.

Respond calmly even when you feel nothing close to calm. You may
need some time to cool off and really think about your response
before blindly raging ahead with an inappropriate response.

Ask yourself if you can learn from them. While you're taking time to
calm yourself down, think it through. Does what that person say
have merit? Sometimes we may believe so strongly about
something it's easy to say "They're wrong and I'm right" but think
about it seriously, are they really wrong or are you just letting your
pride and emotions get in the way?

If you are right, there's always something you can learn from the
situation. For one, do not behave like that when you comment on

Make your response a gracious one. Be sure you don't respond in

There's no need to reciprocate an attack. Doing so only makes you
look like you condone bad behavior and more than willing to get
into a fight with anyone who doesn't agree with you.

Your blog is something you should be proud to say represents you
and your business so you want to make sure to keep petty fights
or arguments far away, no matter who actually started it. When
your readers who post positive comments visit they don't want to
see silly arguments, they're interested in a quality blog so that
means you must always stay professional. Think of anyone making
comments as your potential business partners or customers. They
may even respect you for bring a positive light to what they had to

1. Vehicles – Your vehicle is a billboard that you drive everyday! Have your site on your vehicle. You can do magnetic signs from your company or local print shop, or vinyl letters. Go a step further and leave cards on your own windshield when you park it! People will take them.

2. Mail & Packages - Stamp or write you website on all mail. My site is stamped on every bill or letter that I mail. And frankly I'm sick of it! But blogs are different. Blogs are a two-way conversation between blogger and bloggee (plus all the readers in between). Through commenting and cross-linking, you can share feedback. You can build your network. You can become, dare I say it, an Internet celebrity!

Entrepreneur Magazine, Business Week, even the FCC (Federal Trade Commission) all believe blogs are here to stay. Michael Powell, chairman of the FCC, started one. Blog readers are older and more affluent. 61% of blog readers are over 30, and 75% make more than $45,000 a year.

Blog readers are more cyber-active. 54% of their news consumption is online. 21% are themselves bloggers and 46% describe themselves as opinion makers.
Blog readers are media-mavens. 21% subscribe to the New Yorker magazine, 15% to the Economist, 15% to Newsweek and 14% to the Atlantic Monthly.

Whether on the left or right, blog readers have traits in common that often are absent in today's public spaces: passion and initiative.

Blog readers have apathy towards traditional news sources. 82% say that television is worthless. 55% percent say the same about print newspapers. 54% say the same about print magazines.

Meanwhile, 86% say that blogs are either useful or extremely useful as sources of news or opinion. 80% say they read blogs for news they can't find elsewhere. 78% read because the perspective is better. 66% value the faster news. 61% say that blogs are more honest.

Blog readers appear united in their dissatisfaction with conventional media and their rabid love of blogs.

Euro 2008 - Classy Russia stun the Dutch

Russia were the better side throughout a match that was ordinary for the most part, with the usual Euro 2008 late drama sealed by a virtuoso performance from little Andrei Arshavin, who must now be the main candidate for player of the tournament.

And the Dutch - so impressive when they convincingly beat World Cup finalists Italy and France in the group stages - were frankly poor by their high standards.

Roman Pavlyuchenko thought he had won it for Russia when he finished from close range in the second half, but a late Ruud van Nistelrooy header forced extra-time.

Pavlyuchenko also hit the bar on 97 minutes as the Russians had several chances to win it in the additional 30 minutes, and they finally took them when Dmitry Torbinski and then Arshavin scored the winning goals as the clock wound down to the drama of a penalty shoot-out.

The win allowed Russia's Dutch boss Hiddink to complete the treason he had threatened, while outgoing Oranje boss Marco van Basten was left rueing what could - and arguably should - have been for a Dutch side who performed their classic party trick of peaking too early in tournaments.

An even if uneventful first half saw the Russians impress while in possession whereas the Dutch looked dangerous from set-pieces.

Yuri Zhirkov went close with a sixth-minute free-kick that Edwin Van der Sar was forced to touch behind for a corner, from which Russia had successive chances from Denis Kolodin and Pavlyuchenko.

The Netherlands had the next two opportunities, through Orlando Engelaar's drive wide and a Van Nistelrooy miss when Rafael van der Vaart sent a brilliant free-kick to the far post.

Van der Sar was called into action again when he made a great low save after playmaker Arshavin tricked his way into a shooting position, while the corner that followed was cleared to Kolodin, who hammered a ridiculous shot from 35 yards that Van der Sar again kept out.

Defender Kolodin was finding his shooting boots, and when the resultant set-play again dropped to him near the halfway line he cracked another incredible effort that whistled just wide.

The Dutch were on the rack, but Russia still looked vulnerable at the back. Kolodin in particular could not match his attacking prowess with defensive nous, and almost let Van Nistelrooy in before he handed a chance on a plate to Van der Vaart, who was denied by keeper Igor Akinfeev.

At the break, Van Basten brought Robin van Persie on for the ineffectual Dirk Kuyt. It started well enough for them, with Nigel de Jong unlucky not to connect with another good Van der Vaart free-kick after poor marking.

But knock-out tournament specialist Hiddink drew first blood against his homeland.

Ten minutes into the second half Arshavin played a cute pass into Sergei Semak on the left, who whipped in a superb cross to Pavlyuchenko who atoned for his early miss with a simple finish past the helpless Van der Sar.

Van Basten could see things slipping away from his team and made a bold move when he brought on John Heitinga - a threat at set pieces - and the attack-minded Ibrahim Affelay.

It was still Russia, however, who looked more likely to add to their tally.

First Pavlyuchenko found right-back Alexander Anyukov on the overlap who hammered in a shot across goal that Van der Sar saved in style.

And then Joris Mathijsen almost gifted a second to Pavluchenko when he let a high ball bounce over his head, only for Van der Sar again to deny Russia.

Netherlands huffed and puffed but Russia were holding firm, and a long-range effort from Wesley Sneijder was the closest they came to levelling.

Zhirkov could have doubled the lead as his side tried to walk the ball in, but a poor first touch meant he had to cut the ball back to Pavlyuchenko when shooting was the desired option.

But with four minutes left, Russia's inability to defend set pieces was finally exploited. From the left wing, Real Madrid midfielder Sneijder swung a dangerous free-kick into the box to which Russia's back four got nowhere near.

They also failed to track Van Nistelrooy, who flew in with a diving far-post header to make it 1-1.

There was a brief scare for Russia in injury-time when Kolodin was shown a second yellow for a foul on Sneijder, but the double-whammy of going down to ten men and having to defend another free-kick was cancelled by the assistant referee, who told Slovakian whistle-blower Lubos Michel that the ball had gone out of play moments before the challenge.

Arshavin - who was the co-architect of Zenit St Petersburg's UEFA Cup triumph with another Dutch coach, Dick Advocaat - then went close five minutes into extra-time when he fired over after making space in the box.

And just afterwards, Pavlyuchenko picked the ball up on the left wing and unleashed a brilliant drive that clattered off the angle of post and bar with Van der Sar beaten.

It was all Russia. Substitute Torbinskiy finished weakly into the body of Van der Sar after yet more devilish work from Arshavin, while Kolodin sent a long-range free-kick fizzing inches wide.

I believe you need to create a budget before you ever begin a business. Without a budget, you are setting yourself up for failure.

I know you can find ads that say “no money required” or “free to join”. However, money can only be made if something somewhere is bought and sold. In order for you to buy and sell whatever it is you are now in business with will require money to invest.

To begin with, whatever you are selling, you need to try yourself. While it might be free to “join a program”, there will be a fee to try the service or product.

Now consider the actual business aspect of your venture. There are fees to purchase a domain and fees to host your domain. “But the program gives me a free website” you might be thinking. There’s not a lot you can do with an affiliate site URL. If you want to advertise, write articles etc, you’re going to need your own domain. Free websites give you what you pay for. They are loaded with ads and try to find 10 people, just 10 people who have made purchases from a free web site.

To put up a website will also take an investment. You’ll either need to purchase a site building program or you’ll need to hire someone to build the site for you. Either way, this too is a financial investment.

What about marketing? How are you going to market whatever it is you are selling? Again, you might be thinking “but I know you can advertise for free”.
