In comparison to the larger iPod, people always say that for 50 dollars more you can get 5 times the space. Well, frankly, for most people, 1000 some songs is a lot of songs. All my favorite songs only take up about 120, and all my songs period are about 380 songs. People are always in awe when I tell them I have over 350 songs on my mini, and then they always ask, "How many can it hold?" and I respond with about 1000. Not one person has ever said, "Well that's not enough songs!".
When purchasing the iPod Mini you are purchasing it for its ergonomics and portability. It's a small unit, but isn't so small that it becomes unworkable (even in the hands of a 6'2" man), and it is heavy for its size but its weight is still negligable. When you apply pressure to the surface of the mini, you can really feel the substance of the unit, as opposed to other mp3 players that feel like they'll yield to just a little bit of pressure.
When I first got my mini, it just felt like the right size. Then later that week I saw one of Creative's mp3 players, and took note of its size. The mini is about 8 times smaller than the Creative player.
The backlight is bright, bright enough to illuminate a wall in full darkness, but not so bright as to become blinding. There are games, handy features for calenders, contacts, and notes, and it's incredibly easy to install and use iTunes.
Some people say that the sound quality of the iPod mini is sub-par. This just isn't true. The equalizer of the player is sub-par, but it gives wonderful neutral tones in highs and lows. It just becomes problematic if you jack the bass up too high and the like, (as is the trend with most music nowadays), but if you just run it with the EQ off it sounds wonderful.

Has to be seen to appreciate

Most peoples first reaction when debating to buy will be yeah but what about the price? Well I had the same concern when comparing it to the nintendo DS, but after making the plunge I realize it was probably worth much more than I paid. After taking it out of the box there is a serious WOW factor involved, the widescreen draws you in and its not bad to watch a movie on either. The fact that it has the ability to download pictures, movies, videos, mp3 on the memory card out of the box and has wireless connectivity just makes this an immensely versatile little machine.
Add in the analog nub as well as d-pad for gameplay and youve got yourself a serious gaming machine! The graphices are impressive, gameplay is fantastic it goes way past anything done on a handheld and is on par with a home system. The only drawback is the sound is a bit lacking for movies, sure you can plug in the supplied headphones (much better) or buy a stereo stand to watch on but the movie aspect is one thats not going to drive this as a reason to buy anyway. For games the sound seems more than adequit and the soundtracks on the games are outstanding and very to date with the current scene and should appeal to most tastes. As a movie/game/picture/music portable device its hard to knock but like anything else if you try hard enough you can find something and that something is that to drive such a device it takes alot of juice and the battery while not terrible is a bit short if your used to the gameboy or want to watch alot of movies.
Sony is investing heavily in R&D in battery development so they may have something in the pike sometime soon, but 3rd party developers have picked up on this and pelican offers a powerbrick that will charge your psp battery an additional two times or allow you to hook directly and keep playing. It is small, light and only 19.95 and I highly recommend if your serious about getting a psp. On the whole there are not going to be too many people that once they get ahold of this are disapointed and as such sony cant make enough to keep up with demand. But if your doing your research before dropping that kind of cash, expect to be wowed by the display, impressed by the graphics, consumed by the gameplay, annoyed at the battery and at the end of the day happy that you chose a sony psp. ...

LG PRADA KE850:Sophistication made simple

Key Features:
* Exclusive design and slim form factor
* Full touch-based Flash user interface
* 3" TFT display with a WQVGA resolution (400 x 240 pixels)
* 2 megapixel camera with auto focus
* Shoots video in WQVGA resolution
* Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP stereo support
* microSD memory card slot
* Office documents viewer
* FM radio
* Standard 3.5 mm audio adapter
Main Disadvantages:
* No 3G or HSDPA support
* Unimpressive battery life
* Really basic web browser
* Fingerprint magnet
The LG Prada phone is truly unique and thus has no direct competitors. With its touch-based user interface it outranks all current fashion mobiles.
When it comes to product packaging LG already have a tradition of offering their products in high-quality retail packages that are visually attractive as the handsets themselves. The LG Prada phone makes no difference to that rule. The Prada phone retail box is a black cube and the contents are positioned on different levels inside the box.
The large touch screen display is the centerpiece in this work of technological art. It measures a good 3 inches in diagonal and supports up to 262K colors in a WQVGA (400 x 240 pixels) resolution. The original PRADA theme doesn't seem to take full advantage of the rich colors. But rest assured, there are full color interface themes, too. Above the display there is the PRADA insignia and the loudspeaker grill and below it are three control keys - the two receiver keys plus a Back key in the middle. This middle key is so small that it's hardly noticeable but proves rather comfortable in everyday use.
The battery cover is easily removed after you release it with the abovementioned release key. The LGIP-A750 Li-Ion battery with a capacity of 800 mAh is hidden below it. According to the manufacturer, the battery should sustain the handset for up to 300 hours in standby mode and up to 3 hours in constant talking. Now we weren't able to measure the battery life correctly since we used the handset heavily during our tests but under a moderate everyday usage you would probably need to charge the Prada phone every two days or so. The SIM card bed is located above the battery while the memory card slot is buried even deeper - being under the SIM card slot itself. You would have to take out the battery in order to take out the memory card which is a bit of a nuisance.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T20 (silver)

Add a touch of technology to your lifestyle when you accessorize with the DSC-T20 Cyber-shot® digital camera. Boasting 8.1 megapixel resolution for greater detail in big prints and tight comps, the DSC-T20 delivers superb clarity to group photos and snapshots. The innovative Carl Zeiss® 3X optical zoom lens design brings the action close while the Face Detection feature optimizes natural tones in faces. With HD (high definition) output, photos can look even more spectacular when you share them with friends and family on HDTV screens. The Cyber-shot DSC-T20 is available in four colors including silver, black, white and pink.
Four Stylish Colors in Ultra-Slim Dimensions
With sleek metallic case in silver, black, white or pink, the DSC-T20 makes a dramatic fashion statement that fits any lifestyle -- and also fits easily into your pocket, briefcase, purse or handbag, so you’ll always have a great little Sony Cyber-Shot® camera on hand to save your memories.
8.1 MP Super HAD™ CCD
More megapixels give you more detail and definition when you make big prints or crop in tight on your subject. The advanced Sony® Super HAD™ (Hole Accumulated Diode) CCD design allows more light to pass to each pixel, increasing sensitivity and reducing noise.
Carl Zeiss® 3X Optical Zoom Lens Design
An ingenious Carl Zeiss® lens design provides 3X Optical zoom in amazingly compact dimensions -- and even at full zoom the lens doesn’t project beyond the camera body, preserving its ultra-slim styling.
Face Detection
By automatically controlling focus, exposure, color and flash, this new Sony feature reveals faces in shadow, makes skin tones look more natural and eliminates harsh facial glare -- to help bring out every expression on every face in every shot, so you’ll capture the personalities and emotions that make memories come alive.
The Sony Double Anti-Blur Solution
With Super SteadyShot® Image Stabilization and high sensitivity (ISO 3200), the DSC-T20 compensates for shaky hands, minimizes blur, brightens images and allows flash-free shooting to preserve the mood -- and Sony Clear RAW™ Noise Reduction reduces the picture noise that can ruin low-light shots.
HD Output1
Thanks to Sony, your photo album can go high-def -- with direct HD output1 to your HDTV screen, so you can view DSC-T20 still photos in spectacular high definition clarity and detail. Your life never looked so exciting!
HD Slide Show with Music
It’s the high-definition viewing experience that makes photos come alive on HDTV screens, accompanied by your choice of visual effects and any of four preset musical selections stored in memory or your favorite MP3 tunes downloaded from PC to your camera for use as background music.
9-Point Auto Focus
Because an off-center subject can make your shot more interesting, the DSC-T20 can measure auto-focus precision at 9 points on your screen -- giving you greater creative freedom to compose your image.
D-Range Optimization
The DSC-T20 lets you add creative effects to photos after you shoot -- including soft edge filter to soften backgrounds, cross filter to place starry “dazzles” at highlight points, partial color filter to mute surrounding colors, even fish-eye filter to create interesting fish-eye lens effects.
In-Camera Red-Eye Reduction
Irritating “glowing eyes” can ruin even the most creative photos -- so the DSC-T20 provides in-camera correction at the touch of a button to reduce lingering red-eye effect that other systems might miss.
2.5”2 Clear Photo LCD Plus™ Screen
With its Clear Photo LCD Plus™ design, the big, bright 2.5”1 screen of the DSC-T20 makes photos look more natural when you’re sharing on location -- and gives you adjustable brightness for viewing even in bright sunlight.
Simple Setup Controls
A quick press of the Home button opens your user-friendly GUI -- and you can select functions by simply moving a cursor vertically or horizontally to the appropriate icon. Function names and the on-screen Function Guide display make it easier to learn camera setup operations.
31 MB Internal Memory
The DSC-T20 allows you to capture a large number of images without a flash memory card, so it’s great for traveling or for quick candid snapshots.
Memory Stick Duo™ Media Convenience
A built-in slot accepts optional Memory Stick Duo™ media or Memory Stick PRO Duo™ media -- the compact, high-capacity storage media that make it easily to upload photos to your computer or make lab-quality prints at home on your Sony Picture Station™ digital printer (sold separately).
15X Smart Zoom® Feature4
The Sony Smart Zoom® feature intelligently “crops into” the central portion of interest in your photo, avoiding the image degradation of other digital zooms.
MPEG Movie VX Fine Mode
Captures VGA (640 x 480) audio/video clips at high frame rate (up to 30 frames per second5), with length limited only by the capacity of your media.
Stamina® Battery Power
The DSC-T20 provides up to 380 shots3 with a fully charged NP-BG1 Lithium Ion battery -- enough shooting capacity to cover a long weekend or a whole vacation.
More at Cnet!
